American Idol Season 9 contestant, Angela Martin, is searching for her missing mother, Viola Martin. According to AccessHollywood.com, the 28 year old claims she hasn’t seen her mother since Christmas night. Her mother’s car supposedly turned up abandoned in an unfamiliar neighborhood in Illinois. The family thinks that Viola’s disappearance might be due to a drug relapse. If you watched Angela on American Idol (video of her audition under the jump), you heard her story of how this was her third time making it to Hollywood. The first time she made it through was in 2007 but she had to return home after finding out her father was murdered. The second time she made it she had to return home to attend court for traffic violations. Hopefully her mother is found okay and Angela will be able to focus on making her dream come true at American Idol.
Angela on finding her mother:
“It’s just always hope, always hope and you believe. You’re just praying every day and just believing that God is gonna do what he said he’s gonna do, and it’s [to] never leave me, and I know he’s not gonna put more on me that I can’t handle. So, I’m just praying for the best and hoping for the best.”
